Welcome to AuthorJillWyatt.com—where the truth doesn’t knock. It kicks the damn door in.
This isn’t a curated corner for literary daydreams. This is a platform built from lived experience—the kind people try to pretty up or ignore. Here, I say the things most people swallow. I write what others won’t even whisper.
The stories I write blur the line between fiction and reality, because life doesn’t hand you chapters with neat labels. This is where truth gets a voice.
Who the Hell Is Driving This?
I'm Jill DuBois Wyatt. Author. Advocate. Daughter. Wife. Mother of Five. The voice that won't stay quiet. Unquiet. Unbreakable.
From Lived Hell to Published Truth: The Stories and The Strategies
My work is born from the fire of what I’ve endured. Each book is a piece of that unfiltered truth—a story that dismantles the silence and hands the power back to those who were told to endure it quietly.
Unf’cking the Academic Inferno: An Odyssey Through the Dark Side of Nursing School Hell:
This novel is the story of how I discovered the truth: our entire healthcare system is a corporate mangler-machine that sees people as numbers with dollar signs over their heads. What started as a motivational guide, morphed into a raw memoir, and then the birth of this deeply fictionalized novel to protect myself from the institutionally corrupt. Drawing from my experiences working in Connecticut, North Carolina, and South Carolina in psych wards, skilled nursing facilities, and multiple hospitals—and as a patient and family advocate who has seen the discrepancies and failures firsthand—this book exposes the whole damn charade. It’s a raw account of fighting institutional gaslighting, backstabbing classmates, and a system that runs on a corporate mentality lined with corruption.
Tender Hearts: Navigating the Journey of Caring for an Elderly Parent or Grandparent:
This comprehensive guide was born from the chaos of helping my mother care for my grandmother during the height of nursing school. It is a reflection of the real, raw truth of caregiving—a practical and compassionate look at navigating the physical, emotional, and legal challenges when love, guilt, exhaustion, and duty all collide.
The Woman’s Healing Blueprint:
This is my no-BS strategy map for women at their edge—ready to step out of burnout and trauma and into something real. Grounded in real-life healing that doesn’t happen in a straight line, this is a direct, tactical approach to reclaiming your voice, time, and power.
No Safe Harbor:
The first book in The Unsilenced series. This isn't just a psychological thriller; it's an act of feminist vengeance. Inspired by the legacy of my Indigenous great-grandmother and fueled by the global horror of missing and murdered women and girls—from the MMIWG crisis to every stolen sister ignored by a broken system—this story is built from the bones of real-life disappearances and corrupt law enforcement. The predators aren't monsters; they're men protected by the systems we were told to trust. And the women? They're not just running anymore—they're dismantling the whole damn thing. This novel doesn't just haunt. It's the start of a revolution.
This Is a Space for the Dismissed and Disrespected
The voice behind all of this doesn’t shrink. It doesn’t play nice. This is a space for anyone who’s been dismissed, rewritten, or erased. I’m not here for curated empowerment. I’m here to hand the mic to anyone tired of making themselves small just to be heard.
And I’m just getting started. My stories weren’t written to inspire. They were written because they had to be.
This site isn’t about branding. It’s about breaking silence. Because storytelling, when done right, isn’t therapy. It’s transformation.
So read. Download. Subscribe. Or don’t. Either way, I’m still writing. Still saying the shit no one talks about. Still dragging the buried truth into the light—one brutal story at a time.
